Decramastic Roof Full Restoration & Recoat January 2026
Project Type
Decramastic Roof Full Restoration & Recoat
Date
January 2026
When we inspected this roof, it was in serious trouble.
The original stone-chip coating had completely failed in large areas, leaving the metal tiles exposed and vulnerable. Once a Decramastic roof gets to this stage, deterioration accelerates fast. Without intervention, this roof was heading straight toward rust, leaks, and full replacement.
On top of that, due to the age and construction of this roof, it was treated as an asbestos-containing surface, which meant the restoration had to be carried out using strict, controlled, non-abrasive methods.
This was not a standard paint job.
This was a specialist restoration.
✔️ Asbestos-safe soft wash and decontamination
✔️ Careful surface preparation without disturbing the substrate
✔️ Stabilisation of failing areas
✔️ Full roof sealing and priming
✔️ Application of blinding sand during coating to rebuild the protective stone-chip layer
✔️ Full roof recoating with a specialist roof coating system
✔️ Flashings, ridge capping, and details fully recoated
This roof has been:
Completely re-sealed and re-armoured
Given a new protective textured surface
Fully encapsulated and protected
Brought back from the brink of replacement
Transformed from tired and exposed to clean, uniform, and future-proofed
Visually, it looks brand new.
Functionally, it has years and years of life added back into it.
